It’s been almost 6 years since we opened our first retail spot in the Darlinghurst suburb, next week we move our HQ to a bigger, newer and more impressive (we hope) space in the North Sydney area. Komono is the new kid on the block here at CAPSULE. They provide a range of watches that take the best parts of retro design and mix them with a futuristic twist which makes keeping time a unique and fun experience. All watches feature Japanese quartz movement a metal case with a stainless steel back which is water resistant for three meters. The straps all feature genuine leather details and lining. Fresh for summer comes the latest offering from Melbourne powerhouse Zoologie. The Santiago pocket tee is available in three colourways. Made in Australia from a durable and extra soft cotton, they all featuring a unique pattern pocket and matching back piece. Available at CAPSULE city and Online.

Almost a year ago we received a small drop from a very interesting company hailing out of Brooklyn, New York called The Hillside. Their collection of unique and interesting japanese fabrics that were finely crafted into ties, bow ties and pocket squares, was well received and flew out the door. Fast forward to the present and the current collection features a wider range of interesting fabrics and colours – there really is something for everyone here with all kinds of patterns represented from cotton flux polka dots to jacquard woven indigo chambrays. Sharing a passion for accessories with our good friends at Bellroy, we asked the Melbourne based purveyors of Carryology to create a couple of pieces exclusive to our store. Bellroy has been another of our local success stories having become a staple brand in store, tweaking their design aesthetic without losing their identity or deviating from their aesthetic goal. Working with two of our favourite wallets, the Note Sleeve and the Hide and Seek, we created a unique oat coloured interior, tan outer and embossed CAPSULE x Bellroy logo. CAPS Langley will be hosting the first Australian Mishka Pop-Up store next week and we are pretty stoked to be able to make this happened. Four years ago we received an email from a small Melbourne brand called Zoologie who were looking for stores in the Sydney area. Although we didn’t pick up the range, there was something a little bit different about these guys, in a good way, so we stayed in contact. Early last year we found some pieces we thought might work in our fairly new city store and placed a small order to try things out. Fast forward 18 months and Zoologie has become our number 1 selling apparel brand in store, beating out much bigger and established brands with innovative design, quality materials and crafted production. The fact Zoologie are our only brand to produce their ranges entirely here in Australia, makes it even more of a success story as far as we are concerned, and an inspiring story for all young designers and brand merchants out there.

With all that said and done, the first delivery of the new range has arrived in store. All the pieces feature uniquely designed interpretations of fundamental wardrobe pieces, all in the colour blocked materials you’ve come to expect; exemplified in the exceptional 5-Point Jacket. Perfect for all seasons, it’s made from a cotton/spandex blend and features contrast corduroy detailing on the front tab and elbows, contrast lining in hood & inner binding as well as an elasticated back pouch pocket and velcro fastenings on sleeves.
